In 2022, 10% of HBS graduates were unemployed three months after graduation. By 2024, that figure had increased to 23%. Like Harvard, many leading programs saw 3-month unemployment numbers double between 2022 and 2024; jobless graduates at Booth and Kellog, the Windy City's top programs, tripled over the same period.

Does this indicate an anomaly related to a tougher labor market? It appears not.

"I don't think it is going to change," HBS's career development director said.
